Exposition activities in Russia at the present time is a complex multi-faceted system and is the most important area of museum activity. Museum expositions, having a huge information potential, contribute not only to the preservation of the cultural and historical heritage of the past, but also form a special information and communication environment that is adequate for the perception of modern consciousness.
Today, the practice of museum and exhibition activities in Russia is extremely diverse and when organizing exposition solutions include the application of both historically established (classical) and the latest design principles. Over the past decades, the art of museum exposition has established itself as an independent and self-valuable genre of creativity, and this process was caused by a change in the sociocultural order of society.
