The article raises the question of the most tragic pages in the history of Krasnodar – the Nazi occupation from 1942 to 1943, the destruction of the city, when the Nazis burned state buildings, schools, and residential buildings during the retreat. The situation of the population was difficult: famine, disease, working "murderers".
The author notes that after the liberation of Krasnodar, its restoration began. Work on the restoration of buildings and elimination of the consequences of the occupation took place at a rapid pace. Thanks to the work of architects A. Kozlov, A.V. Titov, and ordinary construction workers, by the early 1950s the city had almost completely got rid of its terrible past. However, part of the cultural heritage could not be restored, because the destruction was too great.
