Doctors of the Yeisk temporary military hospital in 1854-1863.

Abstract

The article presents the results of a study of materials on the                  establishment and operation of the first military hospital in the city of Yeysk, which also allowed to establish and clarify the names and surnames, biographies of its     medical personnel. In this work, little-known archival materials were used, covering the foundation of a temporary military hospital of the 2nd class in Yeysk in 1854. The author traces the process of formation of a medical institution, its activities in 1854–1863 based on the analysis of information obtained not only from archival sources, but also memoirs, literature from open sources.

The article will be interesting and useful to local historians of Kuban, students of history, as well as specialists studying the activities of Russian doctors during the Crimean War of 1853–1856.
