Cultural code of the Crimean Tatars in the oronyms of the Crimea

The study of other cultures and ethnic characteristics makes it possible to form a holistic picture of the multifaceted world of peoples and nationalities that are unique in their individuality. The most complete clarification of the relationship between ethnos and nature is possible only with the help of toponymical. It is the etymology that can tell about the origin of the word, including the geographical name. The article discusses the concept of culture, semantics through the analysis of the names of the oronyms of the Crimea. An attempt is made to identify the cultural code of the Crimean Tatars. Numerous scientific and popular publications in recent years are evidence of the growing interest in toponymical data. Oronyms as elements of the cultural code are a way of storing and transmitting information, a type of cultural memory.
The scientific novelty of the article lies in the fact that for the first time an attempt was made to consider the oronyms of the Crimea from the point of view of the semantics and cultural code of the Crimean Tatars.
